Wow this place was amazing! We are so glad we stopped to eat on our way back to TX from New Orleans! The food is so delicious and super cheap. If you're looking for healthy food this is not the place for you, definitely a great place to splurge when you are craving a burger, fries or onion rings. Staff was super friendly, 5 stars, definitely worth it!

The catfish and shrimp dinner was delicious ($8.99). Real catfish well seasoned, but the cashier informed by the shrimp does not come seasoned unless I make a request. Southerners know when cooking fresh water shrimp seasoning is not necessary, because of the freshness of the natural flavor. The fries are okay, she chicken tender sandwich, homestyle burger with bacon added, and shrimp sandwich (small) were all delicious. The tastiest and most affordable food I had during my entire trip to Lake Charles. I will definitely return to Cotten's Famous Burgers when I'm passing through or visiting Lake Charles. Caution: the line inside and drive thru gets long around 11 am, so get there early folks.

If you want a great burger and onion rings this place is a staple. Ate here 25 years ago when at McNeese and it is as delicious as i remember. They also serve very good shrimp and catfish. If you want great food served by sweet people at a good price then stop in. Careful you will take the smell home with you.

This place is way overrated! Being new to the area I went based on word of mouth. Nothing special in these burgers and the onion straws were good. I prefer Burger King over this place any day.

This is good old fashioned diner food at its best , the hamburgers are excellent as well as their onion rings and fried shrimp. The fries weren't my favorite but this place is great! Even if the food wasn't good , but it is, the people who run this place are the sweetest and kindest I've ever come across in a restaurant. Definitely get a burger here!!!!!

Sooo not healthy! Good greasy burger for a great price. Regular burger came with tomato, lettuce, chopped onions, mayo, mustard and ketchup. Love the onion rings but my bag was half wet with the grease it soaked up. Filled my craving for a burger!

Simple and delicious. Got a frabous burger CHAR grilled as is the normal here. A mixed plate of half fries and half onion rings. And a soda. It's a must visit if you can only hit one !!

While driving through the area with my dad I saw a older run down building with a line. I asked my dad what's that? He said that's Cotton's they have great burgers. Seeing they had a line I said let's go. This was the best decision ever! When I stepped up to order one of the sweetest lady EVER took my order. This is the kind of place where you aren't just another order. This is a place where they call you sweet heart, and baby, while telling you thank you very much for your business in the most sincere voice ever. This was only the tip of the iceberg. The food was absolutely amazing!!! I will now be coming here from here on out when I am in town visiting family. If you come here give this place a review. You just don't find service like this everyday!

Great burgers!!! Be warned...the large onion rings can feed 4 - 6 people!!! A little out-of-the-way for I-10 travelers,, but well worth it.

For simple, inexpensive, non-fussy hamburgers...this is the best hamburger joint in the lake area. A Lake Charles staple for at least thirty-something years... They offer chicken and shrimp as main dishes, but the draw of this place is the burgers. The burgers come with all the basic hamburger dressings and the "old fashioned" comes with grilled onions. You can add or subtract the dressings based on your liking. The sides are french fries and the excellent onion rings, thin sliced from Vidalia onions. Cotten's hours are from 10:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday and from 10:30am through 3pm on Saturday. Closed on Sundays. Great casual lunch place.

Cheap, greasy wonderful old fashion cheeseburgers and some of the best onion rings you have ever eaten. Be prepared to get nasty and smell like an onion burger when you leave. But go..it's worth it.

One of the best hamburger joints I've ate at. The biggest downfall I had with them was they only accepted cash, but they got smart and started taking credit cards. I'm there more than I goto checkers, burger king, or McDonald's. I love old fashion burgers.

The burgers are ok, but talk about a heart attack in a bag!! Now, to be fair, a burger joint is not the place to go to if you are looking for healthy meal; however, their food is just absolutely disgustingly greasy. The paper bag in which you get your food literally drips grease. There are several other places is Lake Charles where you can get great tasting, high quality burgers without the added grease.

A good burger by any standard, but by far the best $2.15 burger I've ever had! We had 2 cheeseburgers, 2 drinks, fries and onion rings for less than $10. And super friendly service on top of that. With the scarcity of anything non-seafood to eat while travesring Louisiana, this is an absolute must-stop place.

Amazing! Best burger joint around. We travel over an hour just to eat at Cottens. The old fashion cheeseburger and the onion rings are a hit with my family. The staff is wonderful and always upbeat, even when they get crazy busy. If you are passing through LC make sure you give Cottens a try.
